A girl gave free testicle exams for charity
on Nov. 19, which marks International Men's Day.
Focusing on male health, the event aims to
raise awareness for testicular cancer, highlight positive male role models,
improve gender relations, and promote gender equality.
With a goal to raise awareness for men's
health including prostate cancer symptoms and mental health issues, the
Movember campaign also teaches men how to check themselves for testicular
cancer.
According to the American Cancer Society, it
is necessary for men to be always aware of testicular cancer and if they find a
lump on their testicle, they should immediately consult a doctor.
After puberty, a monthly self-exam is
recommended for men. As Marissa said in
the viral video, every man is "just as qualified" as she is to give
himself a "thorough examination."
