DU admission policy protesters attacked

Several hundred students of different colleges who were demonstrating in front of the Anti Terrorism Raju Memorial Sculpture on the Dhaka University campus on Friday came under attack allegedly by Chhatra League activists.

Several hundred students staged a demonstration on the campus on Friday morning protesting the authorities’ decision not to allow students to sit for the admission test twice. 

While the students were chanting slogans demanding cancellation of the decision about the university admission test police obstructed them saying that they did not take permission from the authorities to hold demonstration on the campus.

Witnesses said at one stage of their demonstration, some BCL activists appeared their and beat up some of the demonstrating students and forced them to leave the place.

Later, the students gathered there again and staged demonstration protesting the attack.
