Zimbabwe, replying to Bangladesh's first innings total of 433, were 306-5 at stumps on the second day of the second Test in Khulna on Tuesday.
Hamilton Masakadza was unbeaten on 141 and Regis Chakabva was on 63, with Zimbabwe trailing by 127 runs.
Bangladesh Taijul Islam took 2 and Shakib Al Hasan picked 3 wickets of Zimbabwe.
For Bangladesh, opener Tamim Iqbal scored 109 and Shakib Al Hasan made 137.
Bangladesh won the first Test in Dhaka to take the lead in the three-match series.
